- Xmas #1
- Xmas party at home. Kids presented games and shows.
- Xmas #2 - New York, DC and Texas (San Antonio).
- Smithsonian Museum of Natural History
- In Washington, DC. One of Smithsonian Institution Museums. So huge and wonderful. Museum shop has been nicely renewed. You can stay there whole day long! I should take more pics next time.
- Kids Play in the Park - Kids like to play in the park: spacious place and simple recreations. They never get tired because of the play instinct. The adult needs a reason to do something. "Hey, today is a holiday. Let's go to xx park (xx drive way)," says a good father. Although they say nothing, kids might be patient enough to deal with the senses of their parents.
- Sweet Potato - Sweet-potato digging, an annual function of our neighbors' association. It was a fine early autumn day. Kids got close to mother earth in the delightful wind over the
brilliant rice fields.
- School Sports Days - Nobiteyuku Kindergarten (Kai in the four-year-old class) and Kitashimizu Elementary School (Yui in the first grade and Mio in the fourth grade).
- Mt. Tateyama / Blue Sky
- Mt. Tateyama was so beautiful under the blue clear up sky. Mt. Tateyama (Murodo) > Daikanpo / Kurobe Dam > Mikurigaike Pond > Hades Dell > Shomyo Fall.
- Fireworks / Summer - Indispensable event in the summer. We like sparklers very much.
- Beach Kids - It is quite basic to play in the sand on the beach. Kids can spend really long time on the beach.
- Ceramic Art / Family Trial - First trial for our family at Echizen Ceramic Art Village, Fukui Pref. Beginners indeed, we were all satisfied with our own
works.
- Girls' Festival in March - Traditional festival for girls on March 3. Japanese dolls are on display at homes with little girls.
- Family Ski
- Kai: seemed to like sledding. He played by himself longer than usual with a sled, but not "for all the time." It was so hard for Akiko and Eita to go up and down the slope with him very often, you know? Yui: this was the second season for her to go skiing. We found she loved skiing and that she could be very patient. Mio: this was also the second season for her to go skiing. Both Mio and Yui could use lift by themselves and ski down the slope "on skis" by any means. Akiko: skied after a long interval. So, she behaved herself and also skied just like a child. Eita: it is always difficult for a cameraman to get its own photos, but I've got a new ski jacket!!
- New Year's - During January 1-3, most Japanese people visit shrines to pray for the family's good health, safety, prosperity, etc., in the new year. It is called "Hatsumohde". At the shrine, kids are usually beset by the temptation of street stalls.
